But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
Joshua 24: 15.
In this world below, we face the crossroads of life in our journey home. The
way is straight and narrow, although there are things which can cause detours
in the lives of believers, if they do not acknowledge the Lord in all their ways and let
Him direct their path. There is only one road which leads to eternal happiness
and which has blessings and benefits all along the way. We cannot afford to look
to the right or the left when we face the crossroads of life, but must look straight
ahead to the Savior, for only the way of the cross leads home.

We can't be on both the broad path and the straight and narrow, but must know
which road we are traveling, and whose side we are on. The world looks at people
and makes a decision of which side they are on, by their actions. When
we see people who serve the Lord with all their heart, we know they are on the
Lord's side. Yet, when people are observed by others who live a life of sin,
we know they are not on the Lord's side. Regardless of how religious one may act,
if they have not made Jesus Lord of their life, they are lost in their sin.

There are many in the churches today, who are also a part of the world, and
have not fully surrendered every part of their life to the Lord. Jesus is calling
them, and patiently waits for them to let Him be Lord of all. The crossroads
of life may have a path that looks appealing, yet the end thereof will lead
to death. There is a way that seems right unto man, but if not God's way,
it only leads to destruction.

Our prayers can make a difference, if we see others through the eyes of love, and
know Jesus came to set them free. Just as He brought us out and gave
us new life, He stands ready to restore those who will repent and follow Him.
Jesus will renew hearts when they seek Him in spirit and in truth.
His desire is for His children to live in fellowship and communion
with Him each day. His joy is our strength as we go through this life.
Jesus desires that all men know this great love and joy. He will give
souls who seek Him, a true peace, that the world cannot take away.

The story was told of a little old man who was seen every Sunday morning,
walking to church. He was deaf, so he could not hear a word of the sermon or
the music of the choir, or the hymns sung by the congregation. A scoffer asked,
Why do you spend your Sundays in that church when you can't hear a word?"
He replied, "I want my neighbors to know which side I'm on!" The man
had a desire to let the world know He was on the Lord's side, not only
by his testimony, but by his works and faithfulness to keep God's commands.
The man was on the straight and narrow, and had not stopped at the crossroads
but pressed forward toward the goal and to finish his course in life with joy.
Circumstances around the elderly gentleman did not determine his
happiness, nor his heart's desire.

must choose this day whom we will serve, and be truly dedicated to the Lord.
Others know by our works and actions, if we are truly dedicated to God.
When our hearts are fully committed to Him, we will serve Him faithfully. We will
also care for others. God rewards our faithfulness. Jesus is our candle in
the wind and light in the darkest night. It's good to know we are on the
Lord's side, and His side is the only winning team! When facing the
crossroads of life, look to the cross, for it points upward. Jesus said
"if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me." When we lift Jesus up
in Spirit and in truth, His Spirit is always there to do the work He desires.
Stay on the right path with the Lord Jesus Christ, and you
will be abundantly blessed.>
