Creating a website can be a lot of fun. Also the tools (wysiwyg) necessary to do what you want your site to do is expensive. Time building what you want is priceless. It takes hours and hours. Here is the fun part when you get just what you want, well all the new software that was invented while you were making it, has rendered your work obsolete.
How effective is a website? Most people that have websites think it will set on the internet and sell for them. That is nonsense, a website is an employee, and a very lazy one at that. If you have Adwords, you know it, because it cost "A Plenty" but hear this: the cost of Adwords is nothing compared to the profits Adwords will produce for you.

Now about Google, I find Google to be above board in its business dealing although most belittle and downgrade it, is that not true about any successful business. Google is like a pair of shoes you will get what you pay for. My experience with Google, for every dollar I spend I get $2.86 in return. Overture on the other hand $1 = $1.42. The Hickory Daily Record permitted me to spend about $300 before they terminated me but in return I made $30.
I will give you an example right here. Our own Hickory Daily Record will not allow me to advertise in their paper. They say Hickory Locator is their competitor. Well let the competition begin. In my 39 years of being a business man I have never ran from a competitor. Fact; Hickory Daily Record can not compete with either my $30 $50 or $100 a year plan, maybe that much a day. The internet is the future. The internet is the way people do business these days. I let my fingers do the walking but instead of thumbing thru the yellow pages they walk thru the keyboard. Force of habit causes me to read the newspaper but I get my news, sports and weather right here on this computer, and when I want it.
