The catalog is just that, your single source for
shopping, our small businesses in this community offer, pride with their
products or services, and the big stores cannot compete with that. The
big stores have no pride to uphold, they want your money and then you
are on your own, if you have ever bought an item that failed and had to
return it then you know what I mean.
If I buy something and it fails to perform the way it is suppose to, I take it back and I want to talk to the boss not some form filling clerk that tells me to call a phone number that is answered by a robot that ask me if I speak English, then tells me to enter this number or that number. Well don't get me started on today's phone system. Charter is the worst. It sucks. A small business owner will answer her or his own phone in most cases. If they don't answer they will call you back and they will give you the personal service you deserve and have paid for. All of my dealings are done locally my money stays in the community when ever possible. It is difficult to find stuff with this stamp "Made in America". But I for one do not buy that crap made in China most of it aint fit to be in my house. If my pride in America offends you, know this I am a Veteran, I have earned the right to speak this way and as an American yourself " You don't have to read this'. Bottom Line: Every business that you will find on the Hickory Locator is local owned and local operated and you don't have to make a long distance phone call to get service. |

shoppers and dedicated to small business. What is advertising, Today it is a very profitable way to make money. Cost see above. Advertising is a must. Without it your store is empty. The Hickory Locator is a local internet search engine. Not an Advertising Agency. When someone comes to the Hickory Locator and types in the search word " antiques" or "Zebra" they are going to buy what ever they are looking for. And if you happen to have one for sale. If you can design an ad for your business that will attract a client to enter your store, then The Hickory Locator will show that ad to 100,000 + visitors per month (in the unifore area) for one ($1 ) per day if you are a member. And I can show that same ad to a BILLION people with just a little help for Google. For about 1/10 of what our local paper will charge you. But remember The Hickory Locator is not an advertising agency it is the only local search engine. Advertising Agencies charge about $1,000 to show your ad to 100.000 people. Cost see above.
